Our story

The Sandwich Bar first opened in 1976. In the heart of Canterbury city centre, it provides fresh quality food for locals and visitors.

Our food is prepared daily and pretty much everything is made from scratch. We are best known for our crusty baguettes and original recipe of Croque Monsieurs.

We have been told that our service is second to none! We treat you as an old friend, even if it is your first visit. Relax in this small and cozy shop (it is not about the size, right?) and practice your rusty French.  

We have a delivery service available, provided by a very competent company that does it on bicycles. So if you are feeling lazy or you are a business customer just give us a ring. Rates are incredibly competitive.

Oh, mustn’t forget to mention that our chicken is Halal and that Wednesdays we have Merguez sausages on special.
